Filmmaker Vikram Kumar, who is getting ready to direct Vikram for a film titled ‘24’, says his basic idea is not to work with established actors alone but it happens so based on the demands of the script.

“A big hero like Vikram is needed for ‘24’. Likewise, my earlier films ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ and ‘Alai’ too demanded actors like Madhavan and Silambarasan respectively,” says the director.

On ‘24’, he says, “it is not a story that happens in 24 hours. It is a humour film loaded with romance, fantasy and action. In other words, it is also a science fiction. The movie will show a different face of Vikram.”

Heaping laurels on Vikram, he says, “he expressed interest to be part of the project as soon as I narrated him the storyline. I am thrilled to work with him.”

ஒவ்வொருவரின் வாழ்க்கையையும் அவனது சூழலே தீர்மானிக்கிறது. கொடுமைக்கார அப்பாவால் ரவுடியாகும் ஒருவனின் குற்றத்தையும் அவனது சூழலையும் நேர்மையாகச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது ‘யோகி’. திருடன், கொள்ளைக்காரன், கொலைகாரன் என சமூகத்தின் எல்லை மீறும் கேரக்டரில் அமீர். வழக்கம் போல நண்பர்களுடன் கொள்ளையடித்துவிட்டு வரும் வேளையில், துரத்துகிறது போலீஸ். தப்பிக்கும் ஓட்டத்துக்கிடையே காரை கடத்தும் யோகிக்கு, அதற்குள் தத்தளிக்கும் குழந்தையை, வளர்க்க நேரிடுகிறது. குழந்தையை தேடும் அதன் அம்மா, குழந்தையை கொலை செய்ய சொல்லும் அவளது கணவன், தாதா, தாய்ப்பாலுக்காக மிரட்டப்படும் பெண், போலீஸ் சடுகுடு... இந்த ஏரியாவுக்குள் கபடியாடும் கதையின் முடிவு சென்டிமென்ட் டச்!

இயக்குனர் அமீர், யோகியாக ஹீரோ அவதாரம் எடுத்திருக்கிறார். அவருக்காக, செதுக்கப்பட்ட கதையாகி இருக்கிறது படம். ஓடும் பஸ்சில் குடிகாரனின் பணப்பையை பறித்துக்கொண்டு கழுத்தை அறுக்கும் ஆரம்ப காட்சியே, யோகியின் கேரக்டரை தீர்மானித்து விடுகிறது. ஓட்டலில் கொள்ளையடித்துவிட்டு, போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டரின் துப்பாக்கியை சுடுவது, காரில் தப்பிக்கும் போது, உள்ளிருக்கும் குழந்தை சத்தம் கேட்டதும் பதறுவது, கொஞ்சம் தவித்து, அதை தூக்கிக்கொண்டு செல்வது, குழந்தைக்காக, தன்னை மாற்ற தயாராவது, தாய்ப்பாலுக்காக, மதுமிதாவை மிரட்டுவது என ஒவ்வொரு காட்சியிலும் கேரக்டராகவே மாறியிருக்கிறார் அமீர். குழந்தையின் அழுகையை நிறுத்த அவர் போடும் டான்ஸ் ரசனை. ஆக்ஷன் காட்சிகளில் மெனக்கெட்டிருக்கிறார்.

அமீரின் நண்பராக வந்து அவர் துப்பாக்கியாலேயே உயிர் விடும் ரவுடியாக சினேகன். ‘சின்ன சின்னதா பண்ணி அலையுறதை விட, பெரிசா பண்ணி செட்டிலாகலாம்னு ஐடியா வச்சிருக்கேன், இந்த குழந்தையை தேடணும்’ என்று அமீர் வளர்க்கும் குழந்தையின் போட்டோவை காண்பிப்பதும், குழந்தையின் வீட்டுக்கு சென்று, அதை கொல்வேன் என்று ஏகத்தளமாக பேசும்போது லோக்கல் ரவுடியாகியிருக்கிறார். அமீரின் தோட்டாவில் பொசுக்கென்று உயிர் விடும் போது பரிதாபம். கணவன் கைவிட, குழந்தையுடன் பொம்மை விற்று வாழும் கேரக்டர் மதுமிதாவுக்கு. ஒவ்வொரு முறையும் அமீர், அவரை இடித்துவிட்டுப் போக, பொம்மை கூடை, தண்ணீர் குடம் எல்லாமும் உடையும் போது குபுக். ‘இந்த குழந்தை உன்னோடதா, அம்மா செத்து போயிட்டாங்களா?’ என்று அப்பாவியாக கேட்க, ‘இது என் குழந்தை இல்லை‘ என்று அமீர் சொல்ல, மதுவின் முகத்தில் தெரியும் அந்த தவிப்பும் பயமும் நச்! அமீருக்கும் அவருக்குமான மவுன காதல் சுகமான கவிதை.

குழந்தையை பாம்பு சுற்றுவது, கொத்து கொத்தாக எறும்புகள் குழந்தையை கடிப்பது என ரிஸ்க்கான காட்சிகளில் தெரிகிறார் இயக்குனர் சுப்ரமணியம் சிவா. ப்ளாஷ் கட்டில் வந்துபோகும் அமீரின் சின்ன வயது வாழ்க்கை திடுக். அவரது அப்பாவாக வரும் தேவராஜ், கொடூரத்தின் உச்சிக்கு சென்றிருக்கிறார். போட்டோகிராபர் கஞ்சா கருப்பு, ‘நம்ம அல்டிமேட் ஸ்டாருல்ல, அதான் நம்ம தல அஜீத்து, இந்த கேமராவுல வந்துட்டுதான் சினிமா கேமரா முன்னால நின்னாக’ என்று விடும் புருடாவில் சிரிக்கிறது தியேட்டர். போலீஸ் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் பொன்வண்ணன், குழந்தையை தேடி அழும் ஸ்வாதி, திருநா என்ற ஏரியா தாதா கஸாலி என அனைவரும் கேரக்டருக்கேற்ற தேர்வு. யுவனின் இசை கதையோடு பயணிப்பது பிளஸ். ஆர்.பி.குருதேவ், கே.தேவராஜின் கேமரா சந்துபொந்துக்குள் அலைந்து திரிகிறது. முதல் பாதியில் வேகமாக செல்லும் கதை, அடுத்து சென்டிமென்டுக்குள் சிக்கிக்கொள்கிறது. ஒரு காட்சி முடிந்ததுமே அடுத்த காட்சியை யூகிக்க முடிவது, எந்த காட்சியும் மனதில் பதியாதது மைனஸ்.

அரசியல் டென்ஷனைக் குறைத்துக் கொள்ள தற்காலிகமாக மீண்டும் சினிமாவில் இறங்கியுள்ளார் விஜய்காந்த் . இந்த முறை ஸ்டார்ட்... கேமிரா... ஆக்ஷன் சொல்லப் போகிறவர்... சாட்சாத் விஜய்காந்தேதான்.

movie 16 on valentine day

Prabhu Deva starrer VIP is a film that is remembered till now as director S.T. Saba Rathinam’s work. After the forgetful ‘Punnagai Poove’ and ‘A Aa E Ee’, the director is making his come back with almost a hush-hush.

Director Saba is almost done with his upcoming project titled as ‘16’. The film has stars RJ-turned-actor Mirchi Siva of ‘Chennai 600028’ and ‘Saroja’ fame alongside newcomer Madhu Shalini as his lady love.

The music of ‘16’ will be scored by Mirchi Siva’s close friend Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film is said to have four songs, out of which, one will be sung Yuvan’s bro, Karthik Raja. After Yuvan is back from his Dubai concert the film’s work will come to an end.

‘16’ the debut production of Passion Movie Makers will be hitting the theaters sharp on Valentines Day (February 14th).

2007-ல் வெளியாகி பாக்ஸ் ஆபீஸ் ஹிட்டடித்த நான் அவன் இல்லை படத்தின் இரண்டாம் பாகம் இது. இம்மி கூட மாறாமல் அதே கதை... பார்முலா!

முதல் பாகத்தில் இந்தியாவில் பெண்களை ஏமாற்றிவிட்டு வெளிநாட்டுக்குத் தப்பி ஓடும் கதாநாயகன், இந்த இரண்டாவது பாகத்தில் கவர்ச்சியும் திமிரும் நிறைந்த நான்கு இளம் பெண்களை விதவிதமாக ஏமாற்றுகிறான், ஒரு நல்ல பெண்ணுக்கு உதவ.

கடைசியில் மாட்டிக் கொள்ளும்போது, ஒரு கிறிஸ்துவ தேவாலயத்தில் பாதிரியார் வேடத்தைப் போட்டுக் கொண்டு 'நான் அவன் இல்லை' என்று வழக்கமான டயலாக்கை உதிர்த்துவிட்டு எஸ்கேப்பாகிறான். அடுத்த பாகத்தில் இன்னும் நான்கைந்து பெண்களுடன் கடலை போட வசதியாக முற்றும் என்று போட்டு முடிக்கிறார்கள் படத்தை!

இதற்குமேல் கதை என்று சொல்ல ஒன்றுமில்லை படத்தில்.

திரும்பத் திரும்ப எடுக்கப்படும் கதைகளைக் கூட, திரைக்கதை அழுத்தமாக இருந்தால் பெரிய வெற்றிப் படமாக்க முடியும். முதல் பாகத்தில் இதை நிரூபித்த இயக்குநர், இந்த இரண்டாம் பாகத்தில் சறுக்கியிருக்கிறார்.

இந்த மாதிரி படங்களின் ஒரே நோக்கம் அதிகபட்ச கவர்ச்சி... வக்கிரம். அதை செவ்வனே நிறைவேற்றி இருக்கிறார் செல்வா.

படத்தில் சில காட்சிகளில் ஹீரோ, ஹீரோயின் மார்பில் கைவைத்து, 'மார்பாலஜி' ட்ரீட் தருகிறார் - இதற்குப் பேருதவி புரிகறது வாலியின் வாலிப வரிகள். உடனே கர்ச்சீப் எடுக்கிறார்கள் ரசிகர்கள், வாயைத் துடைக்க!

ஆனாலும் இந்த வாலி எபிசோட் சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருப்பதை ஒப்புக் கொள்ளத்தான் வேண்டும்.

லட்சுமி ராயை ஏமாற்ற ஜீவன் போடும் திட்டங்கள் அடேங்கப்பா ரகமாக இருந்தாலும், அதை 'அட இவ்ளோதானா' என்று சிம்பிளாக எடுத்திருப்பதில் நம்பகத்தன்மை மிஸ்ஸிங்.

தமிழ்நாட்டுப் போலீஸைத்தான் கேணத்தனமாக சினிமாவில் காட்டுகிறார்கள் என்று பார்த்தால், வெளிநாடுகளில் போலீஸ், சட்டம் போன்ற சமாச்சாரங்கள் இருப்பதற்கான அறிகுறியே இந்தப் படத்தில் இல்லை. கோடி கோடியாக ஏமாற்றுகிறார் நாயகன். ஜஸ்ட் லைக் தட் 'நான் அவனில்லை' என்று கூறிவிடுகிறார். இவரைப் பிடிக்க தமிழ்நாட்டிலிருந்து ஐரோப்பா போகும் போலீசும், அதைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டு மண்டையை ஆட்டியபடி சென்னைக்குத் திரும்புகிறதாம்... அட போங்கப்பா!

ஹேமமாலினி என்கிற ஸ்ருதி பிரகாஷை ஜீவன் ஏமாற்றும் காட்சிகளில் சென்சார் தூங்கி விட்டார்கள் போல!

இந்த மாதிரி பாத்திரங்களில் எக்ஸ்பர்ட் ஆகிவிட்டார் ஜீவன் என்றுதான் சொல்ல வேண்டும். அவருக்கு பக்காவான பக்க வாத்தியம் மயில்சாமி.

வாங்கிய பணத்துக்குக் குறைவில்லாமல், கவர்ச்சி காட்டியிருக்கிறார்கள் நான்கு நாயகிகளும். ஐந்தாவது நாயகியாக வரும் சங்கீதாவுக்கு பெரிதாக வேலையில்லை.

பாடல், பின்னணி இசை இரண்டுமே சொதப்பல். ஒளிப்பதிவு பரவாயில்லை.

முன்பெல்லாம் அண்டா நிறைய பாலில் சில சொட்டு விஷம் கலப்பார்கள், மசாலா என்ற பெயரில். இப்போது நிலைமை தலைகீழ். நீங்களாகப் பார்த்து பாலை அடையாளம் காண வேண்டும். இந்தப் படமும் அந்த ரகம்தான்!

'வெள்ளைக் கரப்பான்பூச்சி' என்று திரையுலகினரால் செல்லமாக (!?) அழைக்கப்படும் தமன்னாவுக்கு நன்கு நடிக்க வருகிறதோ இல்லையோ... வாய்ப்புகள் எக்கச்சக்கமாய் குவிகின்றன.

ஜெயம் ரவி, விஜய் என முன்னணி நடிகர்களின் படங்களில் அடுத்தடுத்து வாய்ப்பு என்பதால் சம்பளத்தை தாறுமாறாக உயர்த்திவிட்டாரம் அம்மணி.

இதுவரை ரூ.55 லட்சம் வரை வாங்கிக் கொண்டிருந்தவர், சுறா படத்தில் நடிக்க ரூ. 1 கோடி சம்பளம் பேசியுள்ளார். ஜெயம் ரவியுடன் நடிக்கும் படத்துக்கும் இதேதான் சம்பளமாம்.

VIJAY IMPRESS WITH KANAL KANNAN

Shoot of Vijay’s ‘Sura’ is up and running in Hyderabad from November 15th onwards. Director S P Rajakumar is busily wielding megaphone for the stunt sequences between Vijay and his villain Dev Gill. Scenes in which Vijay meets the villain face-to-face in his den were also shot.

It’s was FEFSI Vijayan who did stunt choreography to most of Vijay’s movies all these days. But, from ‘Vettaikkaran’ Kanal Kannan has taken the task. It’s said that Vijay was very much impressed with stunt master Kanal Kannan’s technical knowledge. Sources close to the actor confirm that Vijay will henceforth work with the new master as a minimum for 10 films.

Sura’s shoot is expected to be wrapped-up by November 28th and resume in Kerala by December 5th.

As per speculations ‘Sura’ produced by Sangili Murugan will be releasing around June 22, 2010 for Ilaya Thalapathy’s birthday!

This Pongal is Thala Pongal for Ajith fans. The Ultimate star’s landmark project is almost over and done with it’s shoot. Recently, Asal’s dubbing schedule took off in Four Frames Preview Theatre with a simple Pooja.

Sources said that yesterday an important scene for the film was shot in Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan’s house in T. Nagar, Chennai. Following this a song that features Ajith and Bhavana is being shot at the AVM Studios today.

While the patchwork of the film is planned to be carried out from now on, we have got to hear that ‘Asal’ team will be making a press meet soon. Industry sources had it that a formal press meet is likely to be arranged on December 15th, 2009. However official announcements are yet to be made.

Here comes great news for all fans of superstar Rajnikanth. Director S. Shankar's forthcoming Tamil science fiction fiilmEndhiran, starring superstar Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles, has completed its talkie portions with only a couple of songs pending now.
According to the source, one of the songs will be shot in Pune. Since it would take some more time to complete the songs, director Shankar already started with the post production works. Rajinikanth will dub for next 20 days, of which the actor has already completed a 3 day schedule.
However, the dubbing artist for Aishwarya Rai remains unconfirmed. Earlier, Rajnikanth’s daughter Aishwarya Dhanush was supposed to render her voice and now Shankar has plans to rope in Kanihaa.
Endhiran started rolling in September 2008 and has been shot across various parts of the world including United States, Switzerland, South Africa and Peru. Recently, the climax action sequences between Rajnikanth and baddies and was shot in an engineering college at Maduravoyal.

After ‘Poo’, director Sasi is wielding megaphone for next production of Moser Baer Entertainment. The director is said to be waiting without starting his project for Bharath’s call-sheets, say the birdies.

Grapevine is abuzz that Bharath who was all set to start his next in Telugu with director Suresh Krishna has postponed this one and is preparing to act in Sasi’s direction. The director who was planning to handle the story of friends will be doing a romantic thriller now.

Earlier we also had it that the director has shifted focus to an action film for which the script is ready and the movie would go on floors in January 2010. Explaining as to why he shifted gears from romance to action, the filmmaker said, “It’s my long time desire to direct a movie with ample importance to stunts. The latest update on Kannabiraan’s front is that the director has given space on the screen to the city’s Inspector General of Police! Jaffer Sait, who belongs to the Intelligence Branch, will be featured as a police officer in ‘Kannabiraan’.

Following this golden opportunity, the Inspector is said to have taken special permission from the government to act in the movie.
